Selling Dreams is What Nicole Levesque Does Best

Passion transcends in everything Nicole Levesque does, whether it is cooking or being the successful owner of Grand Falls Real Estate. Nicole loves what she does and nothing pleases her more than making her client’s dreams come true. This Grand Falls native and vibrant business owner moved to Montreal in 1972. It was there that she developed a flair for real estate. Having staged a house in 1979 before staging became the norm, Nicole sold her first home in just three weeks.

When Nicole’s father-in-law, who coincidentally owned a real estate business in Grand Falls, found out that Nicole was licensed, he asked if she would be interested in working for his firm. Nicole, her husband and two children packed up and headed back to their hometown and it has been an exciting journey ever since.

Nicole worked for her father-in-law from 1981 until it was time for him to retire in 1990. She then took over the company and in 1991 joined Royal LePage. It was a natural decision to choose Royal Lepage as they share the same philosophy as Nicole: “Helping you is what we do.” She believes strongly in “Treating people the way you want to be treated” and therefore assists her clients whether it is by selling a mini-home or a commercial property. She ensures to go above and beyond to satisfy her clients and assisting them in purchasing the property they have always desired.

This vibrant business owner is also equally passionate about community involvement both socially and economically. Before kindergarten was integrated in the New Brunswick school system, she helped create a not-for-profit kindergarten and also was a trustee appointed by the Minister of Education. She has been a part of the Chamber of Commerce in a marketing capacity and also served as president.

Furthermore, Nicole spent several years on Conseil Economique, was the president of the Real Estate Board, and served on the Real Estate Council appointed by the Minister of Justice. Always wanting to improve Grand Falls and “sell the region before the home” she also was on the Downtown Development Corporation, the Welcome Committee and helped with the Golf Course and Civic Centre to name a few.
Her contributions in real estate were recognized by Royal Lepage and by the NB Real Estate Association. Furthermore, in 2007, she was the recipient of the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award, presented by the Grand Falls Women in Business Network.

Nicole is also passionate about education and sees life as a constant learning experience. With her academic background, she has taken many courses. She is trained in MVA Residential, also took courses on commercial real estate and any other topic that is applicable to her business. She believes in perseverance and never giving up and that “If I do not know an answer, I will ask and get back to my clients.”

When asked who are her role models, Nicole acknowledges the following:

“My mother who loved to help and entertain and I still remember her passion and compassion.”

“My father who was determined and never gave up.”

“Also, my father-in-law who is wise and diplomatic. He taught me to sleep on it, before I made a decision. He is a wise man and a doer.”

“Éverard H. Daigle who was a business man who gave a lot to the community. He was a tenacious and courteous gentleman.”

If Nicole would give advice to aspiring entrepreneurs she would say, “If you are prepared to make a commitment, give it your 200 per cent. Do your homework, study market and go forward, because once decision is made, there is no turning back.”Nicole’s two daughters are now in business and learned a great deal seeing their mother emerged in the business world.

Loyal, understanding, passionate and determined are just some of the many words used to describe Nicole Levesque. She believes in treating people with respect and giving back to the community. Her philosophy is inspirational.
